Hey Tom: Please let Paul, and all of the instructors know we are so grateful for the seminar.It spoke on so many levels. In court I defang the snake. Other lawyers spend all day landing harmless body blows but I was trained better.That’s it. 12 years of criminal defense and Paul distills it in to two words. F’ing cool man! My personal training with Paul Vunak
Hey Tom, Sorry to bother you. Sifu Paul called me right as I was falling asleep the day after I emailed you. Talk about going from asleep to awake fast. I understand he is busy. But lets be honest the idea of training with Paul like this in the IPTP. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I just wanted to make sure he was still doing the program. We already have a date set up. I can't wait. Thanks for the help. Hey, I got back late Monday night. My training with Paul was just about the most fun I've had in the past 8-10 years. I still get nervous talking to him. Hope I didn't babel too much (nervous habit). I can't believe it he made me a phase 1 instructor. I haven't trained in 13-15 years. I started doing what I could a few months ago trying to knock off the rust. I was just hoping to qualify for an apprentice and maybe look like a good apprentice. I was shocked to find I had qualified for the phase 1. So I would say things went better than I had hoped. Casey Coulthard

Multi-faceted training that is ahead of its time!
After training at Sifu Vunak's this weekend (09/20/09) with some of his Senior Instructors, I feel very fortunate to be able to participate in this type of training. Not only are we learning the most effective type of training available, it is also emphasized to know when, how, and to what degree this type of violence is deemed fit. In addition, it was stressed to know when we are outmatched, a strike on the "ego", but reminds us that it is more important to survive than to "win" a fight. A true lesson in humility resulting in emotional and spiritual growth. I feel grateful to be a part of this lineage, from SiJo Bruce Lee, to Guro Dan Inosanto, to Sifu Paul Vunak. Looking forward for the next training session!

9 and 10 year old girls fend off mass attack by adults!!!!
I attended a seminar hosted by Sifu Tom Cruse and Sifu Harwinder Singh of Progressive Fighting Systems. The seminar was both intensive by way of the progressive training methods applied to the application of knife fighting,and the relaxed teaching style of Tom and Singh. It is really nice to see instructors that are obviously teaching from a 'real world' perspective. The first day I saw seasoned vereran instructors to name a few ,Mike VanBeek,Marcus Charles.all of the instructors helped and gave assistance when needed.Some of the new people who attendeed not knowing what to expect on that first day were confident in their abillity when the event closed.The instruction,training methods were world class.Oh yeah watching a ten,and nine year girl fend off a mass attack was pretty cool.Never before have I attended a martial arts seminar with food provided,and a live band that was absoulutely awsome!Great job to all,and I am looking forward to attending as many more in the future as time allows.

Great Times with PFS on the East Coast.
Hey Brother, I wanted to personally thank you, Tom, and Singh for going out of your way to spend time teaching and working with my group while you were here on the east coast. We all had a great time seeing you again man. The seminar was awesome. The best one since 91 when I trained with Paul at Bob Jones Seminar. Everyone had a great time. I can't thank you enough for what you did for me as a person mentally and physically over the yrs. Your one of my best friends Tom. I am so glad to have gotten to know you on a personal level. Words can't describe enough how I feel that you certified me to the Senior Level. It is a complete honor to be named among those other Senior guys on the Instructors page. I feel as if I were enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Thank you so much for that. I feel alive again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again Tom thanx so much for everything you have done for me. Training with the Man!
Just this last week, on Wednesday evening, March 25, 2009 PaulVunak, Tom Cruse, Singh Sabharwal along with a fortunate group of PFS’rs Had the priviledge of being in the presence of Guru Dan Inosanto. It was like old home week as we got to hang out and train with Dan in a small intimate setting. For 3 hours we trained, asked questions, and were treated to Dan’s superb movement and teaching ability. Dan spoke about the history and lineage of the Philipine Martial arts and elements from some 34 different styles of Kali. What a treat!

John Krogman, PFS-CEI, recently instructed a company of 173D Airborne division in Italy. In this company there were several Bronze Star winners, three Silver Star winners, including one guy who won two Silver Stars and a Distinguished Service Cross. John was presented with a special plaque honoring him for his hard work and excellent teaching. John recieved a special award and plaque for his excellent efforts. Thanks John and keep up the good work!
